I'm not going to rehash the story. There are a lot of reviews already that are doing that. I'm going to tell you what I liked about the story.1) Conversations - feel real to life, not stilted the way some authors write. On top of that, the verbiage is witty and naturally flows and isn't rehashing just to fill up word count2) Character building - these characters are real (sometimes over the top) but what I mean is that they are flawed and make mistakes. But the H/h are very likable standup people who are not perfect nor do they do everything perfect. Having said that War does make you swoon with some of the things he says. (fans myself as I'm typing).3) Plot - lots of twists and turns, edge of the seat suspense, and no one is TSTL (too stupid to live).4) The steam between the two characters is hot hot hot. Sex scenes well done.... not too wordy, not behind closed doors. And Cynthia's turn of the phrase is hot hot hot. Not repetitious and long winded. Sex scenes you definitely want to read, not gloss over.5) I have yet to go wrong buying Cynthia's books. (Even the paranormal I bought by accident was awesome). They are entertaining, can't put down, hot and sometimes nail bitingly intense.6) I love grumpy male characters. It's a quirk I have and Cynthia delivers in this book.I look forward to Odin's story. Hopefully there will be more than just the two stories.
